Microsoft Outlook 2010 Keeps freezing and locking up : Solved
We have about 2000 emails on one outlook account and this is used on a Windows 7 32 bit laptop.
The freezing in microsoft outlook first started with paypal notification emails. Outlook would freeze and I would have to shut down outlook and start up. It then started freezing with normal emails, randomly, and there was no real reason why Outlook should freeze, the emails where not large and there was no virus or spam links in the body of the message.
Anyway the issue is down to your add ins, in particular AVG, and other viruse detection softwares. To disable your Outlook Add ins, do the following:
1 – Click on File.
2 – Click on Options
3 – Click on Add Ins, bottom left.
4 – Click on GO, where it has a drop down box with the option COM
Add-ins.
5 – This is the screen where you can remove the Add ins you don’t want, remove all Add ins that you think are not needed, this should help get your outlook up and running again!
Good Luck!
